The 86 people of the Isle of Eigg are leading the way in environmental action.  Renewable energy, insulation, and local transport are just part of their community approach.

An island is a metaphor for the world. Individuals in a block of flats, an office, a street or village can be an island; working together and making a difference with even the simplest action.   So if you’re a community of 100 people or less who share a common wish to save the world, you could be a green island, just like Eigg!
